All hands on the bad one

OK, I promised to post the picture I had taken with Sleater-Kinney. We just got the film back from the developer, and I have to say that it’s pretty breathtaking. So, without further ado…

They're smoking cigars

Today is Science Girl’s birthday. Yay! Since it’s the middle of the week, we kept it kinda low-key. I did make lunch, though: leftover chicken (actually, Science Girl cooked the chicken last night; I just re-heated it) and mac & cheese from a box. Because nothing is too good for my gal!

Oh relax, we’re going out for dinner on Saturday. Or maybe I’m cooking; she hasn’t made her mind up yet. Either way, the festivities have only begun.

Yuck the Fankees

…and as the clock strikes midnight, Ruben Sierra grounds out to second. AHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ahahahahaha…
Oh man, I tell ya, the Yankees cannot lose often enough for my tastes, or by too big a margin. I would sincerely love to see them lose until they’re bleeding from the ears. Until such a time comes, however, this will do nicely.

I think it bodes well for the election, don’t you?

Someday...

Reason number 1,816,238,461,045,013,465,173,459,876,897 why I’d rather be working days: Science Girl made gumbo tonight. Here I am at work, in my monkey suit, suffering the aftereffects of dinner in the company kitchen (usually fairly good food, actually, but by the time I get up there everything’s been sitting in the steam table for three hours). Would I rather be at home, in my usual comfy clothes - T-shirt, flannel shirt, jeans, Chuck Taylor hightops (current color: red) - eating home-made comfort food and drinking beer with the sexiest woman alive?

What do you think?

They don’t pay me to stay home, though. Not yet, anyway.

I enjoy being a boy

I have never struggled with my sexual identity. No offense intended to anyone who may have done so, of course. I’ve watched many friends trying to figure out which side of the plate they wanted to bat from, so to speak, and it truly can be difficult. I’m fortunate in that I’ve never had any doubt as to which way I wanted to swing. I have always been attracted to women, from day one. Well, from about age six on, anyway. Before that, girls were still pretty icky.

Here now, in no particular order, is a short list of some of the women who helped form my sexuality.

Disclaimer: I have never even met any of these people, much less, um, anything else you might be thinking. Shame on you.

Julie Newmar as Catwoman
Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha Stevens
Pamela Ferdin (Who actually bears a small resemblance to Science Girl, now that I think of it)
Melody, the drummer for Josie and the Pussycats (The cartoon show, not the movie. I couldn’t find a good image. Trust me, she was drawn pretty hot.)
Diana Rigg as Mrs. Peel
That chick wearing the whipped cream dress on the Tijuana Brass album cover

These days, of course, it’s all Science Girl all the time. Rowr!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
